“Flamenco entre Amigos“ – in its original – is a formation of predominantly semi-professional musician, native to the Canary Island of La Palma. It emerged around the year of 2009, when the brilliant guitarist Pedro Sanz invited his young friends and students to gatherings at his house by the sea. Very quickly these celebrations became a synonym for the southern, heartily and spontaneous lust for life, and it didn‘t take long, until the first bar owner engaged the group. Meanwhile, highly skilled musicians have joined the base formation and the “amigos” have become without a doubt number one magnet for the public of La Palma and flamenco by the sea is well known on the “Isla Bonita“. Their journey beyond the canary islands started with a tentative guest performance in 2012. Nowadays the tour travels are a certain part of the formations appointment book. The performances are mostly a result of personal contact and invitations of glowing La-Palma visitors, who had the pleasure of listening to a live-performance on La Palma. For the next summer concert series, the duo will travel without additional members and, on occasion, include special guest musicians in their formation. They can be engaged for large concerts as well as for private events.   2009 Foundation of a 4-member formation with the name “Flamenco Quartet“. 2010 First performances in local restaurants, hotels and on cultural events. 2011 Amplification to a 6-member formation. First guest play in the South of Spain. 2012 Expansion to up to 9 musicians. First own tour with performances in Extremadura and Andalusia. 2013 First tour beyond Spain (South of France and Swiss) as well as Extremadura and Andalusia. 2014 Recording of the first album “Abriendo Camino“. Guest play in Navarra, Madrid, Mallorca, Málaga and Extremadura. 2015 Big tour through 7 cities of Germany and through France, Austria and Spain. 2016 Summer tour of 2 months through Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Netherlands and Scotland. 2017 Recording of their second album “Puerta de la Ilusión“. Summer tour of over 3 months through Germany, Austria and Netherlands. 2018 Large summer tour of nearly 4 months with about 50 concerts, mainly in Germany. 2019 Largest summer tour so far of 4 months through England, France, Germany and Austria. 2020 Recording of their third album “Mar de Esperanza“.
